We have begun to research some directors, looking at several music videos from Chris Cunningham and Anton Corbijn, looking in particular at the representations they create of the artist as well as the track itself.

Through researching Chris Cunningham i have found that he has directed many videos such as: Madonna - Frozen, Aphex Twin - Come To Daddy, Placebo - 36 Degrees, The Horrors - Sheena is a Parasite and many more. His style is very unique working with many underground artist as well as directing Madonnas frozen video. One video he made in 1997 put him firmly on the map for every artist. The 'come to daddy' video shows a warped world which involves using clever effects to create a dark distorted world based in and around an estate. Another director that we ahve looked at is Anton Corbijn, who's work includes: The Killers - All These Things That I've Done, Coldplay - Talk, Nirvana - Heart Shaped Box and U2 - One. He is widely acknowledged by the music industry, mainly for being the creative director of the visual output of bands like Depeche Mode and U2, having handled the principal promotion and sleeve photography for both for more than a decade.
